WATCH: Foo Fighters Turns ALS Ice Bucket Video Into 'Carrie' Tribute

Listen to Foo Fighters Radio on iHeartRadio

Dave Grohl took his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to new heights by getting his fellow Foo Fighters to help add some theatrics.  They turned the simple act of getting doused with a bucket of ice water into a tribute to the classic horror film Carrie, which famously involves dumping a bucket of pig blood on the title character at her high school prom.

Grohl played the role of Carrie in full Prom Queen regalia, while Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins played the Prom King.  Grohl also issued his own challenges, including one to Stephen King, who wrote the original book Carrie, and John Travolta, who was one of the stars in the 1976 film.

The viral ice bucket campaign is meant to raise awareness and money for the fight against ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease.  He invited everyone to donate to the ALS Association at ALSA.org
