Eighth-Grade Metal Band Gets Documentary

Eighth-grade metal band Unlocking the Truth already have a million-dollar record contract under their belts, and now they're set to star in their own documentary.

The Hollywood Reporter says Black Label Media and SeeThink Films are teaming up to finance and produce a movie about 13-year-olds Malcolm Brickhouse and Alec Atkins, and 12-year-old Jarad Dawkins.

The film will cover the ups and downs they encounter in both their personal and professional lives.

So far, Unlocking the Truth's career already includes a stint on this year's Vans Warped Tour, an opening gig with Guns N' Roses in Las Vegas, and an appearance at Coachella.  They were the youngest act ever to take the main stage at the festival in Indio, California.
