Noel Gallagher on Oasis: "If there is a reunion, I won't be in it"

Noel Gallagher on Oasis:

Oasis' debut album, Definitely Maybe, was released in 1994.  That means you can probably expect some sort of re-issue, but do not expect to the see the Gallagher brothers on stage.

Rolling Stone asked guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher about the possibility of reuniting for the band's 20th anniversary.

Noel was adamant. He's not going to do it.  When pushed by the interviewer, Noel replied, "I don’t know. We are split up. You’ve heard that, haven’t you? You must’ve heard...Yeah, so, ergo, band splits up, band is no more. There is no band. So, no, I won’t be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won’t be in it."

The guitarist, who is currently working with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, gets the question a lot.  "I only answer about six a day."

Noel says he's proud of the work he did with Oasis, but he has moved on.  He also has little sympathy for fans who never got the chance to see the band.  "If you didn’t, then that’s fucking tough shit. I’ve never seen the Beatles. So there you go."
