Metal Band Shuts Down North Carolina Brewery After Spraying Pig Blood on Audience

An Asheville, North Carolina brewery was forced to close for several days in order to clean up the pig's blood that a metal band sprayed on patrons.

Young and in the Way played a show in the backroom of Lexington Avenue Brewery on Sunday night.  According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, the show was the "Empire Tattoo Party" which featured three bands.  See a photo below.

According to LAB's co-owner Mike Healy, the venue had no prior knowledge of the stunt. He added:

"After the incident, they took all their equipment and wiped it down and left the place a disaster zone.  Our staff was there until 2 or 3 in the morning cleaning and the next day...we might have to rip out the stage.  It's a very dire situation."

The brewery/restaurant says the incident was nowhere near the kitchen area and there is no concern for food safety.  They plan to reopen on Thursday.
