Kurt Cobain's Stuff Not Really for Sale on Craigslist

Kurt Cobain's Stuff Not Really for Sale on Craigslist

A Craigslist ad claiming to have items that once belonged to the late Nirvana front-man Kurt Cobain is a hoax.

The ad was actually posted by a Sub Pop Records employee.  Sub Pop is the independent Seattle record company that first signed Nirvana to a deal.

Sub Pop receptionist Derek Erdman tells Revolt, "I was supposed to be working on something else that I haven't been able to get into, so I created a diversion. Then I ignored it and went back to work. A few hours later I did an interview with CBC radio about it."

So, he was basically bored.

The ad includes skis, a phone, and video games.  There's also a Courtney Love slam.

Erdman was featured in the Sub Pop video to Virginia Tech.
