Dubstep and Auto-Tune Added to Webster's Dictionary

Monday, Merriam-Webster revealed their new additions to the collegiate dictionary.

Among the new additions are music terms, dubstep and Auto-Tune.  Dubstep was first used in 2002 and refers to "a type of electronic dance music having prominent bass lines and syncopated drum patterns."  "Auto-Tune was first used in 2003.  It means "to adjust or alter (a recording of a voice) with Auto-Tune software or other audio-editing software esp. to correct sung notes that are out of tune."

 Other new words include selfie, hashtag, catfish (referring to a false personal profile on a social network and not the actual fish).
