One of the most highly acclaimed breweries in the country has finally made its way to our area as Sweetwater Brewing Company is now available in DC and VA.
Their big launch is tonight as they'll be at several DC bars. While you read the list and make plans to head out and try some of their beers, I'll be tasting their signature beer.

Smell-Crisp and lightly hopped in the nose. Sweetness.
Taste-Smooth malt is the first thing my tongue tastes. It blends nicely into a very enjoyable hop flavor that augments the malt rather than overpowering it.
Mouth-Medium bodied. Dry in the mouth and finish.
Overall-I can't stress enough how good a well balanced beer is. This is a great example of balance. Hop and malt blend together smoothly. I'm a fan of pale ales because I like a more muted hop found in an IPA. LOVE that Sweetwater is in our area and can't wait to try more of their beers.
