I got this from an old intern (and Long Island native). I've never heard of the brewery but it's a pumpkin beer, and it's October, so let's give her a spin.
Look-A deep, clear amber color. Barely any foam.
Smell-A very pleasing sweet malt aroma. Definitely makes me want to dive in. I'm also getting a bit of spice.
Taste-Spice (nutmeg, clove, allspice) on the lips.
Mouth-Medium bodied. The clove comes out more in the swirl along with that sweet malt I was hoping for. Slightly dry finish.
Overall-I'm very pleased with this beer. I love when an unexpected surprise beer pops up. This is a good "harvest" type pumpkin beer, which I tend to enjoy more than straight pumpkin beers. Looking forward to trying another beer from this brewery.
